Nihan Kaya is a Turkish novelist, short-story writer, and Jungian literary critic.
As an undergraduate, Kaya studied English Literature at Boğaziçi University.[1] She was awarded a master's degree in Psychoanalytic Studies at University of Essex, and later on, pursued her studies to doctoral level at King's College London.[2]
Kaya's earlier work was published in literature journals such as Hece, Dergâh, and Kökler.[3] Her second book, The Garret, was chosen 'the best book of the year' in the Story category by the Writers Union of Turkey (Türkiye Yazarlar Birliği) in 2004.[4]
Kaya is a frequent guest on TRT 2, a state-owned TV channel in Turkey broadcasting mostly on the art life in the country. She also participates in Jung- and psychoanalysis-related academic conferences in Europe and the United States.
